Présentation :

Mes travaux portent sur la création littéraire sinophone du premier XXe siècle et empruntent une perspective résolument multidisciplinaire mêlant traduction, histoire du genre et histoire linguistique. Je m’intéresse à l’histoire culturelle et politique de l’Asie sinophone au prisme des pratiques linguistiques, conçues comme un lieu primordial de la fabrique de formes d’altérités et de solidarités multiscalaires à une époque où s’opère une accélération des nationalismes et des impérialismes linguistiques en Asie de l’Est et du Sud-Est. Également traductrice de littérature sinophone en français, je suis l’une des co-fondatrices du China Academic Network on Gender (CHANGE).

Introduction :

My research explores Sinophone literary practices of the first half of the 20th century, drawing on a multidisciplinary approach situated at the intersection of translation studies, gender history, and linguistic history. In particular, I seek to shed light on the cultural and political history of Sinophone Asia through the lens of linguistic practices, understood as a key site where forms of othering and solidarities where (un)made in the broader context of accelerating linguistic nationalisms and imperialisms in East and South-East Asia. A co-founder of the China Academic Network on Gender (CHANGE), I am also a translator of contemporary Sinophone literature into French, with a taste for poetry and short fiction.
